I thought it would be fitting to post a picture of the first cake that I ever decorated. It was... my wedding cake! I was infatuated with the idea of treating our wedding guests with something that I made myself. The fact that I never made anything like a wedding cake before didn't seem to bother me one bit :)
Making this cake was what really started me off on the whole baking, decorating, and getting altogether creative in the kitchen. Since, I did a decorating course, a lot more research and reading about the craft and if not anything more then at least my roses look a lot better those days. But this free-handed, no tools available, can-see-every-imperfection cake will always be special to me.
